Margi Grill (she/her)

aims to start a conversation about our relationship to the natural world by documenting how landscapes exist in a modern environment.

Margi was a Minneapolis Park Board Artist Grant Recipient for the 2021 Posters for Parks Exhibition and awarded an Artist Participation Scholarship to Split Rock Arts Program in 2005. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in painting and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Art History from the University of Minnesota.

She is currently experimenting with crocheted soft sculptures from plastic bags that have ended up along pathways and open spaces. This new work explores the relationship between the ephemeral items that are cherished as keepsakes and the refuse we consider litter, and how the two can be interwoven.
